The on-going ICC Cricket World Cup has everybody going crazy with cricket euphoria, and Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre too is enthused with the gaming spirit. After all, nothing gets better than watching cricket over chilled drinks and hot food. La Cantina, the Mexican specialty restaurant kick starts the Pizza Festival from 10th March- 10th April, all day long. What’s more is that all these pizzas are cricket themed.
Like the unpredictable doosra ball, there is a surprise filled ‘Doosra Pizza’ which is covered with cheese and one cannot see the toppings underneath. In tribute to our favourite cricketer is the ‘Master Blaster’ pizza with exotic Indian toppings. The ‘Third Umpire Pizza’ features three different types of mushrooms and the ‘Bouncer Pizza’ is a must try with red and green chilli chicken tikka, spicy pickles and hot tomato sauce.
According to Hemant Tenneti, Director Food and Beverage, “The best way to watch a fascinating game of Cricket is with a group of friends or family and lots of good food and drinks. There are 14 countries participating hence we have introduced 14 varieties of Oven Fresh Pizza’s. The Pizza selection is extensive and we have something for everybody”
For people with smaller appetites, there are vegetarian and non-vegetarian mini-pizzas called Pizettas. Calzones, stromboli, cold pizzas, thin crust pizzas, cheese crust pizzas, pan and pie pizzas are available. For the health conscious, there is special Pizza Sotille, which does not have cheese but yummy toppings instead. The more adventurous must try the selection of Fire Cracker Pizzas which are super spicy.
To wind up the meal on a sweet note, the chefs have specially come up with the Nawabi Nazafgarh Pizza which has a topping of angoori petha, rabdi and roasted almonds. The Maiden and Hat trick pizzas are another choice, made with ice creams and chocolate sauce.

About Cricket Fever at Novotel Hyderabad: The entire hotel is decked to reflect the World Cup fever. Starting from the Lobby, our Chef’s have come up with a massive stadium made of chocolate and cream, inspired by the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
