23rd August 2011, Hyderabad: The Square at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre invites you to experience the rich palate of Thailand with celebrity chefs and an experience that will leave you mesmerized. The festival aims to become a unique gastronomic and cultural event both through the authenticity of the dishes and of the ingredients and through the specificity of the decorative elements and of the entertainment provided. The chefs, invited directly from Thailand, will bring along traditional outfits and beautifully decorated masks and the most authentic flavors of the cuisine to Hyderabad.
Thai cuisine is essentially a marriage of centuries-old Eastern and Western influences harmoniously combined into something uniquely Thai. It is the national cuisine of Thailand and it emphasizes on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components. Thai food is known for its balance of the four fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: sour, sweet, salty, and (optional) bitter; and it also can be quite hot (spicy).
The Masterchefs will take over our kitchen at the Square from 23rd till 31st August for dinners and exhibit their culinary expertise through an array of sublime delicacies prepared with the freshest ingredients and presented with a creative flair. Complemented with carved fruits, fresh spices, the buffet and live counters would feature dishes like Tom Yum Goong, Gaeng Ped (better known as Thai Red Curry), Gaeng Kiew Wan (Thai Green Curry), Gaeng Mus Sa Mun, Phad Thai, Som Tom salads, world famous Satays and staple desserts like Banana in coconut milk.
Chef Worawit Ngoenngam is a Senior Sous chef based in Novotel Bangkok and has extensive culinary experience and participated in some of the Thai Food Promotions in India and Asia which involves Thai Food Promotion at Novotel Mumbai, Thai Food Promotion at Mount Lavinia hotel in Srinlanka, Thai Food Promotion at Novotel Clarke Clay in Singapore and many more. Chef Chaveewan Kerativiboon who is accompanying Chef Worawit, is a Sous Chef in Novotel Bangkok. She has participated in several Thai Food promotions in China, Korea, Australia, Philippines and Singapore.
